A look back at the history of Jean West
In 1972, nearly fifty years ago, Alistair Norwood opened the first Jean West store in Perth, Australia, selling simple denim. But it was only fifteen years later that Jean West celebrated its 100th store in Australia. With the brand’s growing popularity in the fast-paced fashion market, in 1994, Jean West expanded its reach to the global market, opening 150 stores across the Pacific. Today, with over 3,000 stores worldwide, Jean West is one of the largest clothing chains and one of the most popular fast-fashion and casual wear brands in the world. This Australian brand was first introduced to Iran by Avakattan Company and today, with more than 40 branches and nearly 60,000 square meters of commercial space across the country, it is the largest clothing and fashion chain store in the country, which is proud to offer the same high-quality services to its customers and companions in all branches. EDC‘s design and lighting staff is proud to have a large share of the lighting in the Jean West chain stores. More than 80 percent of the Jean West chain stores have been designed and implemented by EDC’s experienced and professional staff across the country.
